The University of Delhi will hold a Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) for admission to First Semester of Bachelor of Engineering (B.E)Courses for DELHI REGION candidates passing from Schools / Colleges / Institute located within the National Capital Territory of Delhi in Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT)

Eligibility :
A candidate must pass any one of the following examinations from the recognized School/College/ Institute located within the National Capital Territory of Delhi only and securing 60% or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics shall be eligible for admission to the First Semester of B.E. Course provided he/she has passed in each subject separately:
(i) Senior School Certificate Examination (12-year Course) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (C. B. S. E.), New Delhi.
(ii) Indian School Certificate Examination (12-year Course) of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
(iii) B. Sc. (Gen.) Group ‘A’ Final Examination of the University of Delhi or equivalent examination.
(iv) B. Sc. (Hons.) Examination in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of the University of Delhi with combination of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and equal weightage to the subsidiary subjects or equivalent examination.
(v) Any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Examination of the C. B. S. E. by the University of Delhi.
Minimum Age : Applicant must be minimum 17 years of age on or before the first October of the year in which he/ she seeks admission. Relaxation in minimum age upto one year only with the approval of the Vice- Chancellor is permissible (Such candidates should apply for relaxation only at the time of admission).
Candidates who are short in minimum age by more than one year are not eligible for admission.
Admission to 15% seats reserved for the candidates from Outside Delhi Region (outside NCR) will be made on the basis of AIEEE-2008.

On submission of a Pay Order / Demand Draft drawn on any Bank of Rs. 400/- (inclusive of examination fee) on working days from Monday to Friday between 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (lunch 01:00 to 01:30 p.m.) on all working days.
The Bulletin of Information can also be obtained by post by sending a Pay Order / Demand Draft drawn on any bank of Rs. 475/- (inclusive of examination fee and postal charges). The request for supply of Bulletin of Information by post should be sent to the Dean, Faculty of Technology (Delhi University) Room No. HCFF-13, First Floor, (Health Centre) Delhi College of Engineering (New Campus), Bawana Road, Delhi-110042 alongwith two self addressed slips.
The Demand Draft / Pay Order should be in favour of the REGISTRAR, DELHI UNIVERSITY, DELHI.Write your name, address and telephone number ( if any) at the back of the Demand Draft / Pay Order.

Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET)
Along with taking SET, applicants have to purchase prospectus and apply to each of the Symbiosis institute separately.

SET is the initial step for admission to undergraduate courses in Symbiosis institutes. Each Symbiosis institute has its autonomous selection process.

Eligibility :12th (10+2) from any stream or its equivalent with minimum 50 %. Students who are appearing for their H.S.C finals and waiting for results can also apply subjected to their results it in the same attempt and should not have compartment.
* Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR), Pune
Course : BCA/ BBA (IT) (3 Years)
Eligibility :
BCA - XII standard examination pass from Science stream or government diploma in Engineering / Technology with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC / ST category candidates)
BBA (IT) - XII standard examination pass from any stream or equivalent diploma in Engineering / Technology with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC / ST category candidates)

Course : BBA (3 Years)
Eligibility : XII pass from any branch with a minimum of 50% marks. Students who have passed in compartments are not eligible for admission.
* Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID), Pune
Course : BDes (4 Years)
Eligibility : Candidates must have passed their 10+2 (any stream) or equivalent with minimum of 50% marks obtained in the final examination.
* Symbiosis Institute of Health Science (SIHS), Pune
Course : BSc (MT) (3 Years)
Eligibility : Std. XII Pass with any two of the following subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry & Microbiology or equivalent as decided by competent authority.
SET Centers : Symbiosis Entrance Test is conducted in 13 cities. A candidate may choose one city. The center and its address will be informed on the Admit Card.

AIEEE will be conducted on the following dates as per schedule given below:
Paper-1

Timings: 0930-1230 Hours

Subjects: Mathematics-Part I, Aptitude Test-PartII & Drawing,Test-Part III

Admit Card :
The Admit Card will be sent by post (including those who made application online) about four weeks before the conduct of the examination. In case the Admit Card is not received by 10th April '08, Such request be sent to Assistant Secretary (AIEEE), Central Board of Secondary Education, PS 1-2 Institutional Area, IP Extension,Patparganj Delhi-110092 with two photographs (as pasted on the Application Form), one should be attested by Principal of the institution where candidate is studying/passed XII or by the gazetted officer. Photocopy of the Application Form,photocopy of the Demand Draft(for online application form) and the original postal receipt issued by the Post Office for having dispatched the Application Form by Registered/Speed Post in order to get a duplicate Admit Card. Such request for issue of duplicate admit card should accompany with the Demand Draft in favour of Secretary,CBSE payable at New Delhi amounting Rs.50/- as fee and additional Rs.30/- as postal charges for outstation candidates.
In no case the duplicate Admit Card would be issued at the Examination Centres.
Evaluation and Declaration of Results :
On the basis of performance in AIEEE, separate rank lists will be prepared for B.E./B.Tech. and B.Arch/B.Planning. Score Card indicating All India Rank and State Rank with total marks and marks in each subject shall be sent to all candidates appearing in AIEEE.
Candidates scoring above a certain cut off percentage of marks to be called for counselling shall be determined at the time of declaration of AIEEE results.All India Rank and marks shall also be posted on AIEEE website. The results of AIEEE 2008 are likely to be declared on or before 7th June, 2008.
The score card will be dispatched to the candidates from 12.06.2008 to 28.06.2008 under UPC.
In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks, inter-se merit of such candidates shall be determined as follows:
B.E/B.Tech - By marks obtained in Mathematics and then in Physics in the AIEEE and then by age .
B.Arch/B.Planning - By marks obtained in Aptitude Test and then in Mathematics in the AIEEE and then by age.

An All-India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination (AIEEE) is conducted by CBSE, Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development in compliance with the directives of the Government of India.Entrance is conducted for the admission to degree level courses in Engineering and Architecture in Central Universities, National Institutes of Technology, Deemed Universities and Institutions in the States/ UTs other than those covered by Joint Entrance Examination/ State Level Entrance Examination for paid or unpaid seats based on the score.
Eligibility
Educational Qualification : The minimum academic qualification for admission through AIEEE is a pass in 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized Board/University. Those appearing in 10+2 final or equivalent examination may also appear in AIEEE for consideration of provisional admission. Admission to AIEEE is meant for Indian nationals only.
Age Limit : Candidates between 16-24 years of age on the first day of October of the year of admission are eligible. In the case of SC, ST and PH candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years.
Examination
AIEEE would consist of two papers:
Paper -1 comprise Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics with equal weightage containing objective type questions carrying a total of 360 marks for BE/ B.Tech courses.Papers is of 3 hours duration.
Paper -2 consists of 3 parts carrying a total marks of 340; Part (i) and (ii) comprise objective types questions to Mathematics and Aptitude test. Part (iii) consist of two questions to test the drawing Aptitude of the candidates for B. Architecture and B. Planning. Papers is of 3 hours duration.
Scheme : There will be objective type questions with four options having single correct answer. All objective type questions are required to be answered on specially designed machine gradable answer sheets. Answers are to be marked using ball point pen (black/blue) only. For each incorrect response one third of the total marks allotted to the question would be deducted. No deduction from the total score will, however, be made if no response is indicated for an item in the answer sheet.
Candidates can opt for question papers either in English or in Hindi. The option has to be exercised while filling Application Form. It cannot be changed later.
